Personal Presentations Coaching ![]() Many people are not comfortable getting up in front of a large audience or even a small group to make presentations. Yet, these occasions are difficult to avoid no matter what business you are in. Do you need to make a presentation or a speech? Are you comfortable about doing it? Would you like to get some ideas and support from an experienced presenter, quickly, quietly, confidentially and informally? I can help. Most people who know me well know I’m actually a shy person. Over my career, I’ve had to learn all the little tricks - some psychological and others just presentation techniques - to overcome my shyness and develop my presentation skills. For example, I learned how to get focused on my primary message to make it very personal to me. This assures me I know my subject and that I have something of value to say. It also assures me that if I lose my place in my notes or get interrupted by questions, I’ll still be able to bring myself back to the core message without getting flustered. I learned how to create and use very simple visuals that serve as my notes and outline, allowing me to avoid reading my presentation and appear more “natural” in my delivery. Using these and other simple techniques, little by little, I reduced my anxiety about making presentation. What I have learned can help you, too. In fact, I believe almost anyone can learn to make very effective, enjoyable (at least for the audience) presentations. I can help you control the weak knees and the cottonmouth feelings. I can help you organize your material into a logical, flowing delivery that you will find easy to remember and present, even while you’re feeling nervous. I can help you find ways of presenting your message that your audience will appreciate. Most importantly, by helping with these aspects of your presentation, I can help you gain confidence in your own ability, which will reduce your anxiety and improve your delivery. You may be surprised at how simple some of the techniques are, and how quickly I can help you prepare. In fact, you don’t even need to “practice” the presentation in front of me (or anyone else) to effectively apply what I teach you. Click here to see my pricing. |
